Brooklyn Lee entered adult film in 2010, first with LA Direct Models and then with Spiegler Girls, and won five AVN Awards in one night in January 2012, including Best New Starlet. She shot her farewell feature the following year and left the business in May 2013 to return to school.

Ohio born, New York at heart, out on her own terms
Nina Ramos was born in Ohio in 1989 and moved around as a child: Puerto Rico, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and Canada were all home at some point. Her mother is of Swedish and Native American descent and her father is Puerto Rican. She has said that she spent her twenties working, travelling and studying, and that adult film was something she wanted for years before she allowed herself to try it.
She came into the industry with the trade press already watching, signed with one of the better known agencies, and then won the newcomer award she had been nominated for. Two more years of work followed, with a lead role she co-wrote and a remake of a 1972 classic as her last picture. She retired in May 2013 without a farewell tour, deleted her accounts and went back to school.

LA Direct Models announced her signing on September 20, 2010, alongside Tasha Reign. Within weeks she was on a P!nk music video set, and by the end of November she was co-headlining a convention in Melbourne. Her first full year closed with ten award nominations, including newcomer nods from both AVN and XBIZ.
November 2011 brought an exclusive deal with Mark Spiegler's Spiegler Girls. The 2012 and 2013 award seasons then produced thirteen wins across AVN, XBIZ and XRCO, among them Female Performer of the Year at the 2013 XBIZ Awards. She announced her retirement on May 1, 2013, and confirmed it to AVN two days later.
