Common questions
Short answers, with the caveats left in where the sources disagree or stop.
Who is Brooklyn Lee?
An American adult film performer, born Nina Ramos on June 1, 1989 in Ohio. She was active from 2010 to 2013 and won the AVN Award for Best New Starlet in January 2012. Her records chain across Wikidata, IAFD, IMDb, TMDB and the Adult Film Database under the same birth date and the alias Brooklynn Lee.
Where is she from?
Ohio. As a child she also lived in Puerto Rico, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and Canada, and she worked in Boston and New York before moving west for adult film. Some databases list Cincinnati; the industry record and every Wikipedia language version say only Ohio.
When did she start in adult films?
In 2010. LA Direct Models announced her signing on September 20, 2010, and her first full year in the business closed with ten award nominations. Some profiles date her start to 2011; the trade announcements do not support that.
Why did she retire?
She announced it herself on AdultDVDTalk on May 1, 2013 and confirmed it to AVN two days later, saying she wanted to return to school for a professional degree. She was also open that her relationship was part of the decision, and that she had reached a point where she did not want to be on set with anyone else.
What awards did she win?
Thirteen: nine AVN Awards, one XBIZ Award and three XRCO Awards. The AVN total is five wins in 2012, led by Best New Starlet, and four in 2013. The XBIZ win was Female Performer of the Year in January 2013; the XRCO titles were Orgasmic Oralist in 2012 and 2013 and Superslut in 2013.
How many nominations did she have?
43 recorded nominations: 25 AVN, 10 XBIZ and 8 XRCO. They include an AVN Female Performer of the Year nomination in 2013, Best Actress nominations in 2013 for Voracious and in 2014 for The New Behind the Green Door, and a Best Supporting Actress nomination from XBIZ for Bridesmaids.
How tall is she?
165 cm, or 5 ft 5 in, and 53 kg, which is about 116 lb. Her own site listed the same height, and IAFD and AVN's profile page agree on the measurements of 32C-24-34.
What is she known for?
The vampire lead Amira in John Stagliano's Voracious, which she also co-wrote; the Black Widow in Vivid's Marvel parodies; the lead role of Hope in The New Behind the Green Door, her farewell film; and the 2012 Best New Starlet win followed by the 2013 XBIZ Female Performer of the Year title.
Is she still in the industry?
No. She retired in May 2013, deleted her social accounts and her site went offline that month. Nothing released under her name since then is a new performance; the later dates in the databases are compilation and archive releases.
Is she on social media?
No account of hers is live. Her X handle, brooklynleexxx, returns a suspension notice, and there is no verifiable Instagram, TikTok or YouTube presence. An Instagram account using a similar spelling of her stage name exists, but nothing links it to her, so it is not treated as hers.
Is this her official site?
No. She has not run a site since brooklynlee.com was suspended in May 2013, and that domain is now a parking page. This site is an information page about her career and is not connected to her.
Where can I find photographs of her?
Wikimedia Commons holds the licensed event photographs from 2011 to 2013: awards ceremonies and a convention signing, all released under Creative Commons licences and credited to the photographers who took them. They cover the same years as this site, because no verified photograph of her exists from after 2013.
